AU-related links

While at AU2008 in Las Vegas I got the opportunity to attend the Cut&Paste Design Slam, where, in short, a DJ played while some very talented people drew in Revit and other software. The show has been summarized here. Also, Lachmi Khemlani at AEC Bytes has written a comprehensive article about her highlights at the Exhibitor Hall at AU - a hall I sadly visited far too little.

Revit RAM Interoperability

I'm currently working on identifying workflow between Revit Structure and the analysis tool Robot Structural Analysis, but there are others investigating Revit's interoperability towards other software. Like Bentley's RAM Structural Systems. This class project describes time savers, potential hazards and solutions while working with RST and RAM: Revit RAM Interoperability Also, at AU I saw a session that touched integration between Revit Structure and RISA. I will come back to this later. I will also come back with my own expreience while working with RST and Robot. I never seem to learn that it is always better to talk about what you have done, not what you will do.

Revit Norway?

In a desperate move to capture non-Norwegian speaking audiences in a world of decline, I have decided to write all future blog posts in English. I will unfortunately not (yet) translate all previous posts, so for you affected by that I'll have to direct you to Google Translate. On a serious note, this is mainly because I meet many foreign architects and engineers in my work, and I'd very much like to include them also. On an even more serious note, my friend Tanja D today sent me a link to a new Revit Structure blog. It is labelled "Coming soon" and called Revit Erection. Revit JOBS

Steve Stafford har snekret sammen nok en Revit-blogg (riktig nok for en stund siden), denne gangen for firma som annonserer etter flinke Revit-brukere. Bloggen heter Revit JOBS, og inneholder nok flest stillinger i Statene. Jeg har nettopp kommet hjem etter AU2008, og vil komme med flere oppdateringer derfra så snart hodet mitt har kalibrert seg igjen.
